What is the purpose of the .SXC file format?
The .SXC file is one of Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets format.

Before opening the Microsoft Excel in Lotus Symphony, you should remove the password in Excel. The password can be removed by following these steps:
- Open the .XLS file using Microsoft Excel.
- Select unprotect worksheet or unprotect workbook from the Tool > Protection menu.
- Remove all protection and save the file.
Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets now is able to open the .XLS file.
